CTA Missoula and the Missoula First United Methodist Church (FUMC) Youth Group were paired up for the 2017 CANdemonium event. A construction design competition where entries are built entirely from donated canned goods, CANdemonium is sponsored by the Missoula Food Bank. This year’s theme was Missoula, MonCANa, and members of UMC decided to build a CANdid replica of their church. FUMC has been part of the Missoula community for over a hundred years, so building it was a perfect choice. Apparently, the community thought so, too — our team won the annual People’s Choice Award!

CTA AIT Adam Jones designed the structure and helped coordinate the build with AIA Casey O’Harren. CTA is currently partnering with Missoula First United Methodist Church to help renovate their existing church. CTA’s Jake Zander is serving as project manager and is currently coordinating the construction drawings.
