Through the Education Foundation for Billings Public Schools’ “Partners in Education” program, CTA has developed a 19-year relationship with Newman Elementary School. CTA annually finds ways to affect positive change in the school.

On Tuesday, Nov. 24, CTA’s Nick Bowers and Allyn Jorgensen helped organize our annual donation of Thanksgiving baskets to Newman families. Most do not have the financial means to enjoy the holiday season in the way many of us do; this opportunity allows the families to step away from their daily struggles and enjoy time with loved ones. Each basket contains a turkey with all the trimmings, vegetables, milk, eggs, butter, rolls, and even a pumpkin pie with whipped cream for dessert.

This year, we were able to support 16 families with our donations. The holiday season is a great opportunity for CTA’s culture of giving to shine through and positively affect the people in our communities.

Happy Thanksgiving!
