Last Saturday, a group of employees in the Billings office joined forces to assist our local Habitat for Humanity organization in constructing the 56th Habitat home in the Billings area. Volunteers from all disciplines painted interior trim and doors and put up exterior siding.
The day started out cloudy and muddy from the rainy day before, but turned out to be beautiful and all of us had a great hands-on experience. With such a good turn out of volunteers, we are looking into making this a quarterly event. If you are in the Billings office and couldn’t join us this time, there will be future opportunities to come out and get your hands dirty! From the photos, you can see we had a great time! Some of the faces you see include Amy Lindgren, Brian Bunker, Dayton Rush, Teri Coyle, Allyn Harris, Zoe Rounds, Amber Root, Toni Schneider and her daughter Jordan. And a big thank you to CTA for donating lunch!
Another great way to support Habitat for Humanity in your area is by visiting the Habitat ReStore location for lots of great building materials from doors to lighting to plumbing fixtures. In addition, Amy Lindgren, Amber Root, and I are also serving on the various committees, such as the Building Committee and the Public Relations Committee. Habitat for Humanity is a world-wide organization, so if you are looking for a way to contribute your time towards a good cause, there is certain to be a local Habitat that would appreciate the assistance! More photos after the jump!
