Project Overview:

Ontario, Oregon's primary industry is the cultivation of potatoes, sugar beets, and onions. The Heinz Frozen Food Company processes these locally grown crops at an annual rate of over 600 million pounds of 75 different potato products, while employing approximately 1,000 people. Although a boon to the economy, this local processing plant, as well as normal city growth, meant the city had a difficult time keeping up with water demands.
