23 August 2013

Kyle Johnson and Alexander Bingham with the help of Andrea Mize and Jane Middleton out of the Austin office participated in the Seaholm Intake Reuse Design Idea Competition sponsored by the Austin Parks and Recreation department. The competition challenged participants to create an iconic adaptive reuse of historic structures that once provided energy and water infrastructure functions connected to the Seaholm Power plant and Green Water Treatment Plant. The highly visible site is on the banks of Lady Bird Lake, within the park and trail system. The competition invited a new vision for an adaptive reuse of a neglected facility and site to address the needs of the public.
